cd player problem??

   i brought my car with a cd player already build in and i crnt turn it on unless the ignition is on is this a standard thing or have the people wired it in wrong??

   usually you twist the red and yellow wire together m8 for a continous supply. depends how they wired it up.

   just that i found it abit obscence that you have to be burning the coil and flattening the battery just to have the tunes on lol but thats for your help realy apreciate it
