i was just wondering if you would use add on turbo pieces (oil coolers and intercoolers) to use on standard engine for any reason at all and would they fit? im simply asking as ive heard a ruor you can put these things on a standard engine and need to put mind at rest. Cheers

#2are you talking about making it look like a turbod car?
-
#3thers really no need unless you have a turbo....

#4no ive been told by a mate that u can add pieces to make it perform better and they'll fit into a standard engine. i cant c how due to the turbo manifold etc but i was just wondering :s

#5You can fit both to a stock engine, but there wouldn't be any point!
Intercooler would just be an extra restriction to the intake.
Oil cooler (unless fitted with a thermostat) would make the engine run too cold!1 user thanked this post: -
#7no point fitting them unless you have a turbo to go with it

#9Mocal oil coolers are very good when fitted with a thermostat on a N/A engine.

#10I agree with Sparco_Tom...
Oil coilers controlled by oil temp thermostats are *great*. If you give the stock Saxo a thrashing, the oil temp soon rises so I think they are a great addition to ALL engines, even non-turbo's.
As for intercoolers, the point of a turbo intercooler is to lower intake temps. If you wanna know how to lower your temps on a non-turbo non-bodies car, speak to ADZVTR - he's got the LOWEST intake temps of any car I've ever mapped.
