Use of spacers

  1. #1
Hi guys, before you say it ive searched and cant find the info i want....

Im looking at swapping my speedline 205 wheels for some team dynamics monza rs wheels

Anyway they need spacers as there off a mk1 clio and also need sprigot rings

I've never used anything like this

so im looking for info on:

*what size spacers do i need for a mk1 clio to mk2 saxo VTS fitment?
    *what are sprigot rings?
*Do spacers do any damage to your car? i.e bearings etc
*will the wheels be a smaller width than my speedlines?

    any help would be great

    cheers

    Andrew

    Clio's use a 4x100 pcd, Saxo's run a 4x108 pcd, you'd need to get converting spacers.

I'd wait and get a swop thats a direct fit.

1 - you need a spacer that goes from the pcd of your car to the pcd of the clio it comes from

2 - spigot rings are to fill the gap between the lip of your hub and the wheel, if the wheel is to big, you may need them bored if they are to small

3 - small spacers will do no damage, but if you were to go extreme then they will reduce the lifespan of bearing ect

4 - check the measurements on your wheels and theirs
