Too short for my buckets ...

Not sure whether this has happended to anyone else, but well, im too short to drive my car lol.

Have fixed side-mounted bucket seats with OMP side mounts/subframes.

They are fitted as far forwards as possible, but the pedals are still a little too far away for comfort....

Just wondering if anyone esle has come across this problem

And if so, what did you do, other than grow more or fit naff base-mounted seats.

For some bizzare reason i cannot mentally comprehend this problem, ive got to have the seat as far back as it goes and i still get sore knee's off driving long distances !

Try drilling the subframe holes further forward, so closer to the wheel.

get some plates made up and bolt the seat through the floor nearer to the pedals

like richie said you will probs have to drill or get holes drilled further forwards, ow tall are ya like?

    maybe he's a midget, awesome!

could maybe look at some custom sub frames
i got one made for my seat by matt newton
might be a bit of a mission for you to g up but he made my frame exactly where i wanted my seat like and welds it up in your car like
he might be able to sort you out

Hmmm, might have to look into drilling some more holes then ...

Height wise, im 5'7" but like to sit fairly close to the wheel/pedals as i find it easier to heel & toe, etc.

get some seat rails welded in further forward. Standard ones are not exactly the strongest on most cars.

Hope so mate, or when your older your knees will be giving way before the rest of you.

i had buckets in my old vts, i had the same problem but only with an inch or so to be comfy, i had reclining ones and a removable back so i changed it for a thicker one, not sure if you can do it for fixed buckets. Im only 5'1'' (as you can tell in my pic<< ) and i was only around an inch out Good luck with sorting your problem

I had the same problem with my buckets, turned out, there were two parts to the subframes. And one of them had to be swapped around which made it either too close to the pedals or just right, I'm 6'1" so maybe you just need to swap these bits around ?
