ive followed the guide and must say its second to none, but! trying to clue the backing plate onto the front bit thats bit colour coded, but cause of the mesh it doesnt sit flush, how do i get it to sit flush/actually bond to the colour coded bit? as ive tried araldite and it hasnt worked.

#2i glued the front part(colour coded part) to the rear with tiger seal and left it to dry with cable ties pulled tight as they would go, then repeated it with mesh glued on the back. then sanded a little off the the plasic where the screws go in so it fits in flush to the bonnet
