Just got some rear calipers delivered today, but one of them is missing a seal around the piston, is this something i can easily remove off one of my old calipers and pop on this one?

yes paul they just pull off
there is a small lip on the rubber and grooves in the piston so you need to stretch it off
pull it ff the caliper first then the piston comes off fairly easy

I would be concered with the fact they do not have one though Paul. If you get dirt in there then it will ruin the caliper

Up first thing mate. Like real first thing :O

its because thep piston rotates meaning there must be a small gap between the piston and the casing so the rubber boot with stop anything going between that.

It may look clean on the outside, but it would be worth finding out how long that seals been missing for- as the piston rotates inwards and outwards during braking it could easily be dragging in surface dirt or this time of year in particular road salt which wouldnt do it any good atall
