hi i was just going to order a 4-2-1 manifold and a race tube center section as i already have a back box but ive just noticed i have a standerd center section with the silincer been taken off and a strait tube welded so its basicly a strait throught pipe but if i buy the sportex race center section to go on my sportex manifold and back box will i just be wasting my money as the standerd one is strait through eny way?
and i want it to be loud and at the moment theres the 3inch back box and the strait standerd pipe but its very queit so with the 4-2-1 manifold will it be loud or just a tad louder or do i get a bigger back box?
    thanks jony

The VTR seems to like running a bigger bore system. Your current one is 46.6mm and examples like the supersprint are a 50mm bore.
I dont know what the sportex one is but it would be worth finding out before you part with your money

iirc your saxo with have the cat in the manifold, so, putting a 4-2-1 on will kill 2 birds with 1 stone, cat's normally reduce sound the most, and 4-2-1 add a nice sound aswell. So i can guarentee your going to notice a difference in the sound, it will be noticibly louder.

As for the centre section i wouldnt bother if your current one was in good condition, but by reading through what youve stated it sounds like someone has bodged it, so i would advise buying a proper de-cat centre section.

The majority of people are going to advise you to buy supersprint product because of its quality, but it is more expensive than the sportex gear. If you've got a budget then yeah, by all means go with sportex because from what ive heard off some people on here their gear is pretty good for the descent price they sell it for.

Ive got piper stainless 4-1, de-cat powerflow stainless centre pipe and a 4" jap can at the end and its stupidly loud, it can literally make your ears bleed over 4k rpm. I can only imagine you's will be somewhat the same.
