Yellow headlights...

    I replaced the bulb in my head light earlier only to find out it was a yellow bulb! Now, a few questions, is it legal to have yellow head lights becauseI really liked the look of it on my Quads. Are they ghey? LOL.

    Hmmm. Looked lush to be fair, would always carry around my normal bulbs, might just be worth putting them in for fun.

    Yellow is fine as long as the bulbs have the correct E mark. Yellow bulbs are sold by some of the big names such as Philips and Osram for road use. Yellow bulbs are normally sold all seasons or winter bulbs as they give better visibility in poor conditions. Yellow and white are the only legal colours.

    There are also illegal yellow bulbs as well. These are not E marked. Its also illegal to have none matching bulbs so both your bulbs have to be the same colour.

    i fancy some yellow bulbs just dont want to get pulled for them being illegal !

    yellow is legal, as said above, providing e-mark'd the lights are fine to use.
    For example with motorbikes you are not allowed to fit tinted headlight covers unless they are yellow, as a yellow light is not illegal. Any other colour projection besides clear/yellow is illegal.

    Has anyone got any links to the e-marked yellow lights? I think my one was e-marked but I have lost the packaging! Are the fitment 9005? Thanks guys.

    Yep. Same with belts/harnesses and the like. If it's got the little E inside the circle then you're good to go.

    Where is the E Sign on the bulbs then? And what model number are the bulbs on a Saxo? I don't think it differs if there Morettes?

    Lol, most of these odd bulbs have fake e markings. Sadly there are a lot of conmen out there. You can get legal yellow bulbs form Halfords though there not overly yellow. Osram All Season bulbs are sold by many good retailers. Piaa also do some nice ones as do Philips. All again can be had from a good retailer and are all road legal.
