VTS Coolant Level

  1. #1
    Hello,
I am currently changing the coolant level on my VTS, have drained all the old coolant out, i have got a 4 litre container of coolant - does anyone know what the capacity of the cooling system is, so i can put the correct mixture in?
    Thanks,
    Jimbo

Mate I just bleed it with Water 'til it's bled and working then suck some water out and add Coolent to the water... Otherwise you're wasting loads of Coolant

In my 1.1 it takes 5.5 litres of coolant. Well, thats what the haynes manual said anyway.

Approx 7l if bled correctly iirc. Just empty half of the coolant in, add same amount of water, top the bottle up to full(will then be 50/50) and top it up with that when bleeding

My saxo 1.1 had just about 4litre of coolant (the original one ). And that was the same quantity that i could pour in when i've changed it... i'm pretty sure i've done everything right (broken bottle on the cap, unscrewed the bleeding screws, let the engine warm up ecc...)
