steering rack gaitor

    HELP , i cant get the central steering rack gaitor to stay put
    its doing my head in !
    seems to locate in a small groove on the rack, but keeps coming off
    need to sort this for the MOT, it's a genuine Citroen bit but AAAHHHHHHH
    any tips please
    1.4 saxo Furio on a 52 plate

    tried the search function but not good with pooters me..
    (sorry if this is in the wrong bit ?)

    i have a cunning plan...
    gonna try the metal "panduit" type of fixing we shall see

    i just put a cable tie on the fixed end

    When you put that little yellow thing thats one the end of the gaitor into the little groove. You will see a indent both sides on the rod that the gaitor whent over.
    Get a torch and the hole where the bolt goes in that you took out uisngs a star keey.
    Make sure that that hole and indent are inline.

    Keep trying, i did mine last week for my mot and i had no knoledge of how to change the gaiter and finaly after fidling about with it i worked it out

    that bits ok , its the other end TBH, even with a cable tie it keeps, coming off on full lock, gonna try the panduit on the weekend .
