What do you think of my Ideas?

  1. #1
Just bought my first Saxo, a 1.1 In white.

White's a dull colour so was thinking about what to do, I came up with:
    Gloss Black Spiler
    Gloss Black Mirrors
Gloss Black Bump Strips? Not sure on that one?

    Some nice Black Multispoke Alloys?

Angel eyes. Winner on white saxos.
  3. #3
Black angel eye headlights, gloss black side strips, smoked rear lights and black vts alloys.
  4. #4
black multi spoke alloys i would go for these.. Lenso RS5

  5. #5
    Ok, so:
    Gloss black Spolier
    Gloss black side strips
    Gloss black Mirrors
    Smoked rear lights
    Black Angel eyes
    Black Vts Alloys

    What about lowering?

The rear windows are already lightly tinted and I might put a couple of smart looking stickers on the rear side wndows.

    Any pics like this?

Lowering I would go for 50mm. If you want to lower it properly so that you dont lose comfort or have a bouncy ride use this link "http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen-saxo-1/suspension-chassis-24/lowering-springs-43/" to get a spax lowering kit with proper shocks.

You can also you this guide to have an idea of how much you want to lower. I would stick with 50mm though. http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=141903

Will that Improve the Handling much?

I have -50mm i think on VTS rims and it sits nice. Back on mine could do with coming down a touch more though.

VT kit it. I love white VT's.

With the shock and spring kit, yes it should do. Combined with somedecent tires like Toyo T1-R's, you should have a mini go kart

I'm going to keep building up a list untill I've got something I'm happy with and then do It bit by bit.

    Gloss black Spolier
    Gloss black side strips
    Gloss black Mirrors
    Smoked rear lights
    Black Angel eyes
    Black Vts Alloys
Lower 50mm - Springs and Shocks

I'm picking It up Tomorrow so will have to check If It's 3 Stud

I just realised its a 1.1 you are on about. 50mm is nicer on a VT because of the VT kit. A 1.1 would look nicer if you lower it 60mm. It will give you a firm ride and great handling and as said, with some good tyres it will be like a go-kart.

Ok mate. I might colour code the bump strips on the bumpers but on the sides spray then gloss Black?
    Butch
  13. #13
I think it would look nicer if you sprayed both the bumper strips and side gloss black. Thats my opinion though.
  14. #14
I've got a mate who can spray and He's got some Gloss Black so hopefully I'll get It done cheap

Will a VTR Spolier fit the 1.1?
  15. #15
Nice mate. Get some pictures up so we can see what it looks like once you've got it done

Yeah, VTR spoiler fit no problem.

    or not
if you actually start looking into suspension and testing things you soon find a spring and damper setup makes very little difference
mine is far from a go kart and has about 450 quids worth of susension on ther and tbh i class that as a budget low spec soft comfy setup
reducing things moving in unwanted direction with bushes imo makes the best difference
actually makes the suspension work rather than the bushes flexing and feels a lot better
    but then harder is needed
and tyres need to be considered to be able to hold the car well

sorry but the its a go kart on a gmax kit is a load of bollocks

I have spax kit on mine, with proper shocks and was professionaly lowered and it the ride feels very firm and handles very well indeed. Other people have driven my car and have said that the handling is great. Maybe you didnt spend your 450 properly.

haha yea i pissed it on raceland coils and some bling

    apex 50mm kit
pugsport groun n rear wishbone bushes
    pugsport group n topmounts
powerflex front wishbone and arb bushes
    polyrace rear beam mounts
    24mm rear arb
    omp lower brace
    sparco upper
    15s
    and yoko prada spec s2

    it handles very well
but its not a go kart
the comparison with a go kart (whch has no suspension) is the main issue tbh
it will never handle like a go kart

im not saying lowering kits are shit (in my spec youll see an apex kit costing 200 quid like)
just that people seem to over rate them

    Nice set up

Anyway, obviously it wont be like a go kart. People say "like" a go kart, it just a way to say that it handles well. Its called a metaphor, they dont mean that its literally the same handling as a go kart lol

    thanks lol
bit or research and a few test setups lead to that and tbh i love it tbh (i could have included my brak setup asell in there but its irrelevent in this convo lol)

    i know its a metaphore
much like saying stuff is bombproof when it comes to reliability
have you see most bombproof stuff against a bomb theres never much left lol

    mini derail over lol
