Supersprint exhaust question

   I have a supersprint race centre ready and waiting to go onto my mk2 VTR. I am going to order a backbox (piper or peco) soon to go with it but Im unsure which one to get beacuse of the bore size. Do I get the backbox with the VTR fitment or do I get the VTS fitment because of the 50mm bore size of the supersprint race centre? Can anybody help please thanks.

   both should fit I don't think there is a difference in size btween the two.

   when in doubt go for the vts fitment as it will certainly be a 50mm bore...

   would not buy a peco exhaust. why not just use the supersprint backbox. better sounding/looking then both

   Its to small looking for me mate, I like the look of the 3' exhausts and I think they sound good. Why would you recomend a peco mate, wots up with them?

   buy a kam racing backboy
   
   basically a piper but lighter, looks the nuts

   Im going to go for the piper mate, the kam one just looks abit to small for me.

    Just had a look at ur progress thread of your VTR SteveWC and i noticed you have the supersprint centre with the piper 3 inch backbox from kam. Which fitment did you get it for the VTR or VTS?

    we moved to a 2.25" stainless box so its not as weedy anymore

    do they sound the same? the piper 3" and kam/supersprint i mean.

    similar. The tailpipe bore will give a different note but its currently basically similar as the last batch of backboxes was made my piper for us. I doubt they used any different manufacture technique!

    We have about 30 of our version in stock so if ordered before 4 I can get it to you tomorrow, but the piper 3" would come from them so would arrive next week.

    I've got a piper 3.5" it's a nice deep tone with a bit of a rasp compaired to the raspyness of ones like the supersprint pea shooter and pugsport.
