Turbo Manifold

Ive just came accross this on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TURBO-MANIFOLD...item5ad444e30e

Anyone seen them before? Not bad for £200. Not equal length but still...

Looks nice, but if you are going all out then I can imagine that the pipes not being an equal length being an issue and the wastegate (from what it looks like) is only from the one pipe..

Personally, I like the look of the DP-engineering ones

Ide not tuch it with a barge pole tbh...

I think a few people have them on here. From what they have said there not great but perfectly usable. Its setup for a external bypass valve and unfortunately its a really odd 3 bolt type. You may be able to bolt on a turbo with a internal one and then just weld the external one shut. Or just it off and weld on a normal 2 bolt.

think its been talked about befor,

iirc the holes for the exhaust studs dont quite line up, also the waste gate is for a rare fiiting style, but saying that its very easy to alter this and for £200 is quite a bargain

i think somone on here has one actually?? might be over on owners??

Never seen it before, or a thread on it, thought Id post one up. Assumed they would be problems, always get what you pay for. Wouldnt mind seeing a pic of one fitted?

Considered the downpipe required as well?

you would have to get one made as with most other turbo builds or may be able to use one from cituning or dp??

either way this is a cheaper option to buying one of their manis!! and then one of there downpipes!

still a good buy imo if you can get th extra bits fabricated

I should really buy one for a laugh

tbh mate any exhaust company should be able to make you one up also any decent fabricator that can do mandrel bends should be able to make it up you will just have to look out for local firms with the equiptment and ability to do it, i know a firm who custom make trailers for people in aluminum and stainless and well they can pretty much do anything with a bit of pipe and a welder lol

it cost me £200 for my custom powerflow 2 1/4" powerflow exhaust done straight off my turbo with no cat just a flexi then weilded to my back box

what amount of boost do you think this manifold would take before problems come round with it?
  17. #17
equal length is not as important as some of you seem to think... ok, it is ideal but it doesnt mean to say this type wouldnt work. it would work rather well actually.

the majority of oem turbo manifolds are not equal length and they tend to flow plenty of power. astra vxr for example isnt equal length but ive seen 300hp+ without having to change.

the only issue i can see is the external wastegate but that could be solved or perhaps you could specify one without maybe?
its certainly a bargain in my eyes considering the only manifold with a real benefit is the DP engineering manifold and thats over £600 for stainless steel and external wastegate fitting.
