Im thinkin of doint the turbo conversion on my vtr. Ive still got 2 T34 garret turbo's from my old skyline sitting... wud 1 of these be 2 big 2 soon??

skyline turbo would be muchos to big mate. t2's are good though, small with a fast spool up time
  3. #3
    i thot as much like
  4. #4
Ever thought about the turbo lag you would have lol
  5. #5
Forged internals, ZF box and a nice bit of antilag and quite a few other bits and bobs should see one of those turbos right at home on a saxo

It would make one mad mad car
  6. #6
yeh the lag wud be major
bt i was thinkin of a mad power output
it is too mad a thought to

It won't have anymore lag than your Skyline had with them on.

Unless you Skyline was stroked it won't be using anymore than 1300cc's worth of output to spin them up....

think its worth a shot then? with all ryt gear fitted ofcourse

To be fair it would be pretty pointless using a T34, you'd have a far quicker car with something alittle more suited to the power you'd want to run. I'm assuming you'd want something over 300bhp?

wantin to see hw much power i cud push owt safely really, had the turbo's sitting just wondered if it was aking 2 much,
think after xmas im gna start with just t3 and build up the power from there

    T series turbos are garrent.

If you use a T3 .48, it should spool up reasonably quick and you'll still have good power. To be fair though a T3 is good for 330bhp max and that just seems overkill on a saxo but good luck, it will be certainly be an experiance to drive.

i thought they used garret gt28r's

edit: not all labeled T's are made by garret. there are lots of copies now.

danny the gt 28r,s i think are the stock rb 26 det turbos the rb25det uses a t24 i think,
The t34 was used on the escort cossies on the "big turbo " model.

it was an r32 gtr, the turbo's wer for a cossie ryt enough bt had them put on the skyline.
defo jst gna go for t3 turbo set up, safe any hassle
