Drive shaft nut

   Is there anyway I can take the shock off without undoing the drive shaft nut? I've got to take the gearbox out aswell

   Uh? You ask the size, but now you don't want to take it off.
   
   No, you have to take the shock off. no other option.

   Can leave the driveshaft attached to the strut and remove it all as one piece
   
   It'd make it awkward to handle/move the strut and drive shaft about but it can be done quite easily.

   yea ive removed struts with the drive shaft still attached
