throttle bodie

   just wondering if its posible but can you fit a vtr 8v inlet manifold and throttle bodie on a 1.1? if so cept for look good what would it do?

   if the port spacing is the same and it doesnt have a carb then i should imagine it would fit.
   
   possibly abit more torque

   im thinking of doing it but unsure yet as the scrappy by has a vtr in and been getting some parts off it so thinkin shall i try a bit of a crazy engine mod haha if anybody knows exactly what id av to do please post

   what year is your saxo?
   
   iirc theres only a few bolts 4/6 holding the inlet on, just unbolt it, undo any pipes and thats it really, very simple

   let me know how it goes, im interested in doing the same! but ive been told it only works with the mk1 saxo vtr inlet manifold even if you have a mk 2 1.1 saxo.....

    well my main reason is itll look alot better than the shitty 1.1 gear n a bonus is it mite improve the performance a lil so thats y im going for it.

    Many 1.1s are MPI. You could only swap it on a 1.1 MPI. Even then there are at least 3 sorts VTR inlets and not all would fit. I can not see it actually helping though. Have you thought about just fitting a bigger engine?

    if the scrappy has the car in why not get the engine and running gear and fit it in yours?

    the engine itself is prety much fucked mate too much wrong with it cam belt is snapped so dont know if theres any damage to cams etc car got side/front crashed into a lampost by the look of it not much is salavageable from the front like. but im sticking with the smaller engine for insurance reasons at the moment
