remap?

   i was just wondering at what stage of engine "modding" would a re-map be required?
   
   would a re-map be benifital with just breathing mods, such as indution kit, full system a manifold?

   i think its after you have enclosed filter, full stytem exhaust and manifold, and cams, then a remap is next!
