whats the est 4 to 1 manafold system i could get and what advantages would it have and could i fit it my self

you could probably fit it yourself if you are confident with a spanner.
loads of guides and advice on here.
more noise and a couple of horses would be the result.
iirc raceland do a cheap 4-1 and piper do a more expensive better quality product.
i would (and will be) get(ting) a raceland, good bang for your buck!

think raceland are around 180 and pipers are around 290, there are others but these tend to be the most popular brands.

Raceland is 4-2-1 and are a pain to fit, but are cheap.

Piper do a and a 4-1 which are good quality

GMC/BTB do a 4-1 which is better again

Supersprint do a 4-2-1 but it's the most expensive at around £300 IIRC.

Janspeed also do a mild steel 4-2-1 wich is a decent build quality and fit for around £170.

race-land ones are for sale on here, for 135 quid brand new. For the mk2, so you don't have to move the oil filter.

    And cheaper for the mk1.

I got one a few months back, not that hard to fit.

Just leave 4 studs in the block, 2 on the left, 2 on the right. And some of the nuts have to be screwed half on the studs before pushing the mani to the block. As there is no room at the end of the stud to the manifold, meaning you cant get a bolt on it.

I thought you had to move the filter on all raceland fannymolds?

    They've made a mk2 one now.

With 2 lambda sensors holes, and it misses the filter.

I have a piper 4:1 buddy, the quality of it is awesome and it fits perfectly!

I bought mine from GMC about a year back when they were on offer.

Depends how modified the VTR is, if it had wild cams and throttle bodies then a 4-1 would benefit it more

But in this case, i agree a 4-2-1 will give the power where its more usable

get a raceland 4-2-1 from the forsale section on here, £100 delivered is the usual price. Fit it yourself or bring it to me. I'll mess about with it for £30 that includes new bolts
