tappets

   ok so rather than going to a garage, i let my so called 'mechanic' friend attept do reset my tappets as they were really noisy. now my car runs exptremly rough and feels like the timing is out,
   
   how much will a garage charge to fix this? thanks

   maybe an hour max to re-set the tappets - so however much they charge for an hour? (£60?)

   my tappets on my old R took 25mins max to reset. Get a haynes manual and do it yourself
