Heater problem

  1. #1
Hey guys, had my saxo 1.1 desire for about a month now and the heaters been fine up until recently, basically it just works when it wants, usually kicks in when I go over a bump (something loose?).

I've read through some threads on here and can't seem to find anything related to my problem, I've checked the connection on the knob but other than that I have no idea where else to look.

And yes the PAS and de-mister works fine.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like you have wirer lose under the dash mate.........

Yeah like I said i've checked the connection that plugs into the switch and tried following the wire to see if there were anymore but it just looks like it goes into the engine bay and from there im completely lost..

Are there any places I should be looking? Really could do with getting this sorted as it's a pain in the arse with no heater in this weather

or heater motor, sell a lot of these so guess they must pack up quite often

Surely if it was the motor though it wouldn't work altogether? Whereas with mine it kicks in after going over bumps..

motors can work intermittently, used to have to bump my C15 heater motor to get it working. if brushes are work or theres a bad connection internally it'll play up

    Where's this motor located?

yes please do tell, where is the heater motor located as mine is doing the same in fact it doesn't work at all now and there is heat coming out at the windscreen just wont blow. There must be a fan?? could leaves and such be stuck in there if it's under the grill at the bottom of the windscreen? you had any more joy Dan?

Driving around earlier and it was working fine.. are there any specific connections that i can check? apart from the one on the dashboard?
  14. #14
only on the back of the switch and on the motor itself

Sorry for the bump, I've finally got round to buying a new heater blower, just wanna get something straight - some people say that replacing the heater is a dash out job? Whereas others say it can be done without taking it out..?

If so how would you go about taking it out without taking the dash out?

does your heated screen go off too?

No, I know which problem you're talking about and it's not that, it's definetly the blower thats gone.
