New Alloys, Help Needed!

  1. #1
Hello, Got some 15" TSW alloys for my 1.4i Furio, but don't know what bolts to get !?

The wheels/tires are 195/45 15 and are replacing the stock 14" wheels.

Found these bolts on the 'bay, just wondering if they are the right size.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Also will i need spacers ?

Any help would be great, as i am a total noob at these things!

whats the offset on the wheels??
  3. #3
No idea, does it say on the wheel? I know the PCD is 4 x 108 so its a straight swap.

How do i find out the offset?

Are longer bolts needed if spacers are fitted, i presume so.

Yeah longers studs will be needed with the spacers. well depending on the distance from the hub.

off subject, but you got a bargain with that furio, how many miles on it?

I paid 1200 and it has just over 60K

Ive had 5 mm spacers on my 15" TSW's and i used standard bolts with no issiues

Is it still the same offset as the original wheels?

Just found the offset on the alloys: E 25 and the model: TSW Freeze

So does this mean i need 10mm spacers to get it to 15

No they were 5mm out, thats why they had 5mm spacers. But tbh flatarches with wheels greater than 185 width your pushing your luck with as your bound to get rubbing unless you modify your arches.

Would i need thicker spacers than 10mm to stop rubbing ?

10mm brings the offset back to 15 but the width of the new wheels are 195 as to the standard 165... hmmm

10mm is what you will need. You can either get hubcentric spacers which i would recommend as they are much safer etc or spacers and use longer bolts upto you realy.

195 is the tyre width they will probably be 5.5J or 6J wide with that tyre size, they will be fine sitting in the arch as that is the standard vts wheel tyre width

So 10mm on each wheel, this may sound obvious but just to check i need them for the front and rear wheels?

    Thanks for the help btw

    yeah 10mm all around

Ok, Where is the best place to get some 10mm spacers, i've seen a few cheap ones on the bay but tbh i don't really trust them!

I want something of good quality that i can trust but at a good price, say £30 or under. Any recommendations?

If theyre high quality steel/alluminium i think, you cant really go wrong. If you dont have 7.5 turns of your bolts you will need longer ones for safe operation.

Yeah, i'll get some bolts that are 10mm longer than standard size.

Sorted the spacers, got em from Halfords in the end, Ripspeed - 15 quid a pair, so that 30 quid all together (i can do Math )

    Bolts next, the bay.

Oh and there's locking nuts, but their like £20-35 for four of em! The 16 standard bolts only cost £20-25, think i might gamble and do with out em.

Wow thats terrible, my local halfords sell 4 locking bolts for £30 which is bad, my local car store sells them for £14. Try ebay mate
