Engine conversion

Hi everyone i know this is asked all the time but can someone point me in the right direction of changing from a mk 2 furio engine to a mk 1 or 2 vtr/s engine which is easier is the vtr a straight swap as its a 8v or is the vts also as easy, also what else do i need to uprate really? Also how much money would i be looking to get if i sold a furio engine with 60,000 miles on the clock?

Could be done for no more then a few hundred pounds.

You can either put a 8V or 16V in, BUT you'd need to get the correct ECU, ignition barrel and key for the engine.

If you were upgrading to a VTS, you need bigger breaks OBV, VTR/VTS chairs,

I'm not sure if you'd need to upgrade fuel lines and drive shafts (Shafts possibly as they will be more under stress due to the powah)

Could keep original gear box though best bet is to get a VTS gear box (With VTS clutch)

Other then that, i can't think of anything else.

If you leave standards breaks on it, it'll feel quicker

If your going through the effort of engine conversion 16v would be lost benificial but you would also need to clarify this with dvla and insurance too

with 16v you will need to plumb a fuel return line in, also a unlocked ecu and loom from the same year vts as your furio, also would be
more benificial to use vts gearbox ecuase it has the sports cluster and better final drive unlike the furio box which is the same as vtr westy and quicky gearbox iirc and all
have non sports gear clusters and shit final drives

you don't neccesarily need bigger breaks though the furio uses same as vtr and vts I think, same size anyway I'm sure, and you don't need to change to vts/vts seats either tbh.
All the main changes that are needed are engine wise though I can't remember what else needs changing dont think there's much else that would need doing, other people that have done it will definatly no what else needs
doing
