5 stud on 3 stud?

  1. #1
theres been some speculation in past posts about 5 stud alloys fitting 3 stud cars, im one of those few on here that have a 3 stud car which as most know means there is a limited choice of alloys.

so for me the chance that 5 stud could fit 3 stud is great, BUT there hasnt really been anyone thats said they have done this, or know anyone who has.

so does anyone know the truth?

    cheers peeps

defo no chance they fit, the stud are not aligned the same, one stud would fit but the other bottom two are too wide apart on 3 stud.

i've heard that 6 stud alloys exist and they can sometimes fit "perfect"

them multi stud ones might but not sure about 6

multistud ones are normally 8 holes and they will not fit either

would be a custom hub for 5 stud, just convert them to 4 stud mate, why exactly do you want 5 stud??

i think he just wants a wider variety of rims that he can fit as we all know the 3 stud varieties are pretty dyer with exceptions to tooras, compomotives etc

but i wouldnt have thought 5 stud would fit at all, as said above convert to 4 studs my mates done it and dont think it took him a long time at all

Just a random thought but is it possible or is there anything that exsists that is like a spacer that screws into the 3stud and is then flush and then allows 4/5 studs to be used? If you get my drift?
    The drawing is pretty terrible.

    Thread from the dead.

But yes there is such a spacer, and yes they are highly dangerous and unstable and likely to make your wheel fall off on the motorway

Thanks lol, was only wondering. How easy is it to do the four stud conversion? What is the cost to do it?
