#2Might aswell get a new gasket while your at it, would be silly not to replace it while its off

Could do the studs and bolts aswell if you wanted, upto you though
-
#3gaskets always good to change after been disturbed up to you about the studs
-
#4probably good idea to change the gasket, cost next to nothin anyway
-
#5If it's the original manifold and never been off... renew the studs, nuts and gasket imo.
-
#6Hmm Gasket always replace, Studs not so much but it's up to you.
-
#7If they are the original studs/ nuts, you'll probably find that when you try to loosen the nuts, it'll take the stud out the head too. So unless you can remove the nuts from the studs without damaging the thread, you'll most likely have unequal lengths when you refit them again.Quote:Hmm Gasket always replace, Studs not so much but it's up to you.
Not the end of the world, but for the sake of ~£7, it's worth changing them imo. -
#8thanks guys, where can i get the studs from? how much are they 7pound for them all?
-
#9Citroen/ Pug parts desk. Comes to something like £7 for the studs/ nuts and gasket.
-
#10im not sure if we have acitreon or pug manufacturors in chesterfield though, can i get them from a motor factors? and do you need any gasket sealant for the gasket.
-
#11Motor factors should do them. Nah, just the metal gasket is needed.
-
#13ok thanks, i thought that.
