vts conversion

    been searching about this i have a mk1 vtr and want to go down the vts route now im quite mechanically minded and will have no probs getting engine in and out etc, but where i am confused is i have a keypad immobiliser i understand i have a single plug vtr so will i need to change the loom if i get a 16v engine? if so where does the loom split etc? also can someone explain what i do with the immobiliser? and why do i need an unlocked ecu if someone could kindly explain or just post a link as i did search but couldnt find thanks in advance
