j4 head on jp4 bottom end?

   will a j4 head bolt onto a jp4 bottom end?
   
   need a new bottom end, but also need pocketed pistons as i have high lift cams but i know the jp4 valves are bigger than the j4's so would this be a problem when getting high comps?

   yea course they will its the same block just different internals.
   
   just use the j4 headgasket as its thicker than the j4 one mate, think they measure 0.9mm for jp4 and 1.6mm for j4 maybe wrong there but iirc of the top of my head thats how they measure.

   well if a jp4 head bolts to a j4 bottom end im guessing they work on vice versa man so you should be cool.

   There might be a few valve clearance issues, make sure you use a thicker gasket or work out the clearances
