Important! : gearbox/linkage issues

   recently first gear has been grinding a little when driving but if i hold the gearstick in 1st while i'm driving in 1st it is fine
   
   is this an issue with the linkage holding the gear or something with the syncros in 1st gear

   yes mate mine was same till the bolt fell out the bottom,had it replaced real cheap still grinds a bit but no where near as much.george

   not sure mate would have thought it was the linkage, take it to your local garage and see what they say

   its stopeed doing it now , very strange must of been a linkage

   sounds like the linkage just replace it
