Idle Control Valve - Where to buy and what!?

I'm going to clean the IACV/throttle body on my girlfriends Saxo, if the part isn't too pricey i'm considering replacing it at the same time as the car is cutting out periodically. However i see mentions of avoiding the cheap ones on eBay, however GSF were well respected when i previously owned a 106 Rallye and they seem to be cheaper than Citreon. Is it easy to find out which specific model i need as they seem to list a lot! It's a '51 plate Desire 1.1

GSF arent your normal eBay company mate theyre a proper full blown motorfactors. Their records for PSA cars will be about as reliable as anyone elses can possibly be, but give them a ring and theyll make sure you get the right one. Google them to get their details

tbh i have had nothing but trouble with non genuine icv's

they never seem to work correctly or last longer than a few months which is strange.

Try buy a genuine product

Cheers guys... i've cleaned out the TB and it was rather mucky so we'll see how we go from there.

Hi Folks,

To revisit an old thread, the clean out seems to have worked for a time, but it's back - given that the other half is away a lot of the time I can't risk repeat failures so I think we may be best off replacing it....

To clarify the issue, it only seems to occur when slowing down to a stop, or almost stop - usually when there is a slight decline in the road also - and changing from 3rd to 2nd. The car cuts out, dip the clutch and rolling jump start or turn the ignition key and all is right again, but obviously not ideal. It sounds like the IaCV to me, but it's been a while since i got my hands dirty with cars!

Can anyone guide me on how to find out what the part number is to ensure I get the correct replacement.
