People who have done rallye inlets

Right I know how to fit one and wire up not a problem also the guide is helpful but what I need help with is that I was reading a thread the other day and a member posted pics on how they did it looks like they used the VTR stepper motor bit bolted to the side of the rallye inlet but the TPS looks like they adapted it to fit on the inlet and didnt use the rallye one posted a few good pics.

Done a search and looked back 8 pages but couldn't find the thread any help! thanks

diff section? maybe the probs queries...i dont recall seing that mate, can just stick the stepper on the side....i never but i will be when i go boost, going to try drilling with self tappers and sealing with silicone....or if the self tappers fail will nut and bolt (unless this is easier first off but not too sure on getting in with spanner or socket?)

self tapers and sealer never failed for me

didnt think it would mate long as you dont drill to big a hole.... but if i can get nut & bolt on i will just for the simple fact of having boost and making one less likley place for it to leak.... self tappers would probs do but its bettter to overcompensate IMO

Ahhhh that would be me lol

in put quite a few pics up in my progress thread on how I used the vtr tps sensor
the thing I noticed is with the old tps sensors like xsi and s2 rallye and blacktop vtr they used the square plug, but the bar that goes into the sensor was flat, where as I took the silvertop tps off and it had one side flat and one side was round on the bar that comes out the throttle body which is the same as the s1 rallye tps
so all I did then was make an alluminium plate so it bolted on

it was a last resort idea that worked lol cause my icv went and I think that caused the tps to go tits up and it needed replacing but it was 250quid plus vat from Peugeot for a
new s1 rallye tps and I couldn't find one anywhere else apart from buying a whole inlet, so I then came up with this idea lol

if u need more pics gav let me know and I'll try to get more pics

Nah I havnt used it yet, been trying to get a loom to fit

I tried it with a 16v loom and it worked sort of lol, I had to wire the vtr lambda plug onto 16v loom and think I got a wire wrong cause it was
missfiring reallly badly so think it was that, so took it off for now and going to rewire it back on then refit again at a later date I think

such a long way of doing things as usual lol

good luck I will see how well your method of fitting the inlet works on a quiky

Lol ino but it worked and it's cheaper than getting a loom custom done, plus it will only be temp anyway, I mean tbh my car doesn't run too bad considering it's unmapped and the size of the cam, and it's currently making 120bhp just over, it's just the higher limiter I want really tbh as the 6200 limiter is pants and I can barely use the cam

yer I thought it worked quite well tbh there's no wire swapping etc so less things to go wrong if you get me, you just have to be care full when positioning the quicky tps cause it's smaller than the s1 rallye tps it will need to sit at a different angle if you get
    me
