dremmel a line across the head and hammer the bolt loose with a screwdriver by tapping it down/up and either edge if that makes sense

    You're learning fast Paul

Make sure that its a good groove that you cut into 1 side of the head so that a screwdriver will stay in there without just jumping out

then just hit that 1 side as itll obviously act as a motion to knock the bolt round- once its cracked any rustyness around it then most will undo with your fingers the rest of the way

try and use a good thick screwdriver without the plastic end as this is likely to split and take away much of the impact from the hammer

dont be afraid to really belt it, ive had some that have took a good few minutes of beating to break it free

you're fine to replace it with another bolt afterwards, doesnt have to be torx, make sure its at least 8.8 tensile though

    dremmel ftw of course.

Can remove them with an irwin socket in a bolt extractor set

I just use a chisel, anyone who's seen me attack the bolts with a chisel has seen that it's the way forth. Sometimes on rusty/older cars i don't even bother trying to undo them with a torx bit, straight in there with da chizzl

OR if the dremmel and screwdriver technique doesn't work

Use a drill with a grinding bit on it, and grind away the top of the head, this should loosen the thread of the bolt and it should come out by fingers. If not, you can leave it in there and get the washer out, get the torsion bar out and get it out when you've got plenty of access to it
