if i remove the middle box from my 1998 vtr (seperate cat, not in manifold) and replace it with a racing centre tube will this increase the noise? LIKE THIS ONE?

Do you have a non standard system on? I was under the impression that your car has two boxes...the backbox and the catbox? Surely if you're removing the "silencer" box thats gunnabe taking out your cat?

no mate, its a standard system. manifold, cat, MIDDLE SILENCER, then my magnex back box. its only the middle silencer i wanna remove, you see what i'm saying?

this will increase the noise level that the car produces noticeable however might make it more raspy than deep. even if you dont remove the cat then you could still increase the cars exhaust noise above whats classed as road legal.
is it a diret fit magnex backbox or is it a universal magnex box.

its a direct fit backbox designed for the vtr. whats the difference between raspy and deep? honda civic type R has a rasp but sounds mint?

i have the saxo 3.1/2 mangex back box, miltek middle section (no silencer), de cat, and 4-2-1 ashley compertion manifold. the noise isnt that loud and it passes the M.O.T with no problems when i fitted the cat back in for the test. i found when i fitted the middle section it just made the noise deeper. it sounds cool mate, get it done.
