box selector

   my box grinds slightly going into 1st, 3rd and 5th but is fine using 2nd and 4th, my guess is the selector is shot, can this be changed or do i need to install a new box? Id like to keep my vts box in as a vtr box will cost me acceleration and i cant have that, too many idiots in my town to abuse lol, anyway, can it be changed on its own and is it a hassle or costly?

   The linkage could be changed and that could be the problem....if so its not that expensive to sort out.
   
   However be aware that it could be worn Synchro in the gearbox.
