Anyone got the torque setting of the driveshaft hub nut?

Changed my driveshaft today. Just want to check what the driveshaft/hub nut should be set at before I lock it in place.

    Cheers

You can always just stick something over your bar to extend it

Tighten it up as much as you can to line it up with where it was before.

Should be using a new nut. They don't stake back in place well enough the second time.

need new nuts, apparantly they need to be at the right torque in order to apply the correct pressure to the wheel bearings or somethin apparently

    torque setting is FT

    fooking tight

funnily enough most torque settings are the same for cars and heavy machinery, eg most car hubs 250nm and alloys 100nm.... upright mx19 scissor lift hub nuts 250nm whell bolts 100nm i think the got these out there ass as with the mens/womans daily drink allowances(fact btw) but they do need to be TIGHT so make no mistake there

i used to stick a cut off piece of a scaffolding bar on the end of mine for extra leverage until i snapped the breaker bar

got some super heavy duty bars but you still always need an extension... scaffy bar ftw... comes in handy any day, could consider it a multi tool IMO lol

Halfords Pro ftw. Only ever broken a torq bit on some VW headbolts - replaced it for free. Last time I use a 3/8's for doing up headbolts, clearance was an issue with a 1/2"

for the price of halfords pro I can't fault them, plus lifetime guarantee. Add in a trade card and your practically robbing them of tools they're that cheap

QFT. They also do a very nice Torque Wrench that does up to 300n/m for less than £40. More than enough to do your hub nuts up.
