   hey guys,
   gotta problem with my gear box, can get it into first, second and third then it grids like fuck going into forth but once its in, if i keep my foot on the gas its fine but once i ease off the accelerator it jumps out of gear.
   also it goes into 5th position but its like theres no gear itslike its in neutral, and then its not like going into reverse properly you have to like force it in. its like it wont lock in
   
   any ideas guys need help pretty bad thankss guys

   It sounds to me like perhaps you're gearbox mounts are knackered, making the whole gearbox sit out of line so you can't get it into gear correctly, hence why it jumps out of fourth when you decelerate.
   
   Surely someone else can help determine the problem?

   btw the guy who had it b4 me thrashed the clutch and ive just changed the clutch on it. if thas anything to help too like

   just get the car on a ramp and havea look at the gear linkages see if there is play in them and also check the mounts on the gear box.
   
   Nothing more we can really say.
   
   it cant be the clutch or the release bearing as you would struggle to get into gear in 1st,2nd & 3rd in the first place lol.

   sounds like either a knackered gearbox or gearbox mount as said above, wouldnt be clutch or release bearing else it select any gear easily
