#2Okay your car has got manual wing mirrors,so undo the door pull (t20 torx bit) then at the front of the door trim undo another t20 torx screw. Then gently prise off the speaker cover then work around the edge of the door trim gently prise it away from the door.Once the trim is off prise off the the plastic mirror trim inside it you`ll see a t20 screw holding the adjuster on undo this & slide off the cover, then open your window hold the wing mirror(to support it)& undo the 3 t20 screws holding it on.

#3cheers mate but do i rly need to remove my whole door card to take my mirror off?
-
#4yes, and noQuote:cheers mate but do i rly need to remove my whole door card to take my mirror off?
if you've got a small rachet with the head on it you can just about manage by bending the card back slightly
but its FAR easier to get the door card off instead. plus they're not really that hard to get off! -
#5ok guys cheers ill give it a go laterrr =]
-
#6dnt think i can take my door card off dont have the right size alan key thing.
-
#7its a torx screw head you need, you can sometimes use a small flat headed screwdriver.
-
#8ill try a small flathead then thanks, i dnt have a torx i dont think darnn...

#16ok i managed 3 torx, but cant get the window adjuster off.... the spring bit...
-
#17it pulls through the hole, pretty simple as long as you have the interior bit popped off
-
#19ok well i unscrewed the adjuster bit, took the triangle off, but the adjuster ball which moves the mirror is still there, does this go through it?
-
#20yup there should be just a hole left now lol
-
#21theres 3 little holes where the metal bit is, but the whole thing wont go through it....
-
#22i got all 3 trox got the inside triangle off the mirror is ready to come off but on the inside the ball mirror adjuster is still on it dnt understand how to get this off, coz it wont fit through the hole..
-
#23can anyone help plz..
-
#24bumppp... im like 3/4 through taking my mirror off its a bit annoying...
-
#25literally wiggle it through the hole. it doesn't come off.
trust me! -
#26hmm ok ill give it a shot, the holes are like tiny though only bigg enuff for the metal spring to go though, not the ball mover adjuster joint.
-
#27ok i tryed the ball bit just gets stuck inside i can get the mirror offf...
-
#28ill take a picture of my problem maybe tht way u can understand =]
-
#29the mirror adjuster is screwed into the inside mirror cap if thats what u mean
-
#30how do i get it off then?
-
#31i checked all over theres no way to get it off, unless i break the adjuster and spring..
-
#32underneath theres a tiny screw undo it and it slips thro. seriously its a really easy job to change mirrors over.
underneath the mirror cover on inside theres a tiny tiny torx screw loosen it and off it comes -
#33mate there is no tiny screw on it, theres a black button plastic thing but other thn tht nothing, i no its shud be simple but i dont understand whats stopping it theres nothing there, the mirror comes off but the big ball adjuter stocks it going through and coming completly off.
-
#34A 2 page thread about changing a wing mirror
-
#35ok pull off the interiour mirror cao in the inside is a tiny screw on the bottom inside. unless u have a very special saxo.
-
#36get a picture, i cant see how you are having problems with changing a mirror but maybe someone has bodged it on in the past...
-
#38wnt let me upload a pic, but ive done the cap inside and taken the screw off the screw and cap are in my house but the dial thing to move the mirror around is still on the inside and theres no way for it to come off our out
-
#39that adjuster stays attached to the mirror and when u pull mirror off the outside it comes out the bigger hole.
-
#40yep got it now, thanks sorry for all this, i didnt wanna do anything cant afford to break anything cheers, delete this thread haha!
-
#41So was it you just wernt doing what the above was saying or was it a 'special saxo'
-
#42quite hoping for a special saxo
-
#43i did all the above, but the rubber bit in the door i didnt no we was ment to push it through.
