Right... Iv been thinking and looking up about this for a while now and Im planning on fitting Yamaha R1 TB's to my 03 Vtr, Im pretty sure of the parts Il need but any info on this would be very handy!
So what Im gona collect up is, Yamaha R1 TB's (2004), inlet manifold, standalone ecu, fast road cam, 4-1 exhaust manifold.

Firstly is there any other threads of this set-up?
Secondly where is the best place to get a inlet mani?
And also which type of ecu would suit best?
All help and info will be much apreciated!!

There was one site that did an inlet mani for you to adapt your own throttle bodies to the vtr - there isnt any throttle bodies avalible for the VTR from stock if im correct.

It could have been RallyDesigns or Cituning or spoox motorsport i seen it at.

Where about in aberdeenshire you from? seen your progress thread, car looks good - not seen it when im out and about the countryside

I'm considering this route aswell and have been in discussions with Sandy Brown on 106 rally reg, they currently dont have an inlet manifold created for the later silvertop engines but this was a couple of months ago so things may have changed, but Sandy and Colin on that site offer everything you need apart from the ECU is a nice package...

Best thing to do maybe to contact them to check on progress for the inlet manifold.. Oh and there kit takes Suzuki GSXR throttle bodies...

If you do contact them please let me know if they have now created the inlet manifold

Thanks. Yeah im defo going to ask them about doing it and if they have what I need. I think the GSXR is a very similar size to the R1's, should work on same mani.
