is it a big job for 17"s

    i hav a set of 16"s on at da moment an it does a brave bit of rubbing but want a set of 17"s?
    can anybody help me an explain wat all has to be done to get the 17"s on!!!

    depends how low the car is but minimum is trimming arches, rear bumper brackets, removing boot vents at the back of the rear arch, 'modifying' the inner front arch to minimise rubbing on full lock using a large hammer and tapping back any metal seams which look as if they may catch. bear in mind with 17's it'll handle like a bag of shite and won't do your gearbox clutch and driveshafts many favours.

    Get the a profile of tyre that will keep the rolling radius the same as your 16's.

    there isnt a tyre in the world that can give 17's the same rolling radius as 16's im afraid, they would pretty much have to be rubber bands

    cheers lads! i think i mite stay on 16" now an just lower it to the balls! thanks for advice
