#5Any blue light on a non-emergency vehicle is illegal. They cn be white (same as your headlights) if you must have them but they are the chaviest thing you can do to your car.
-
#6there legal, someone put that ask the police website up last night and it said it on there.
-
#7It doesn't say hey are legal on there, it saysQuote:there legal, someone put that ask the police website up last night and it said it on there.Blue lights will distract other drivers and you'll find yourself getting pulled every minute and fined if the police officer is having a bad day, or thinks your a chav with them on your carQuote:
may be legal if they do not flash, move or distract other drivers. -
#9ok prob wont do not worth just in case and about the chav bit you call them chavy i have a saxo myself which is standared and every1 calls that chavy so any1 with a saxo is a bit as i hear
-
#11my bad.
-
#12not really. you cant be a chav just becuase of the car you drive, its usually what you do to it that makes you 'look' chavvy.Quote:ok prob wont do not worth just in case and about the chav bit you call them chavy i have a saxo myself which is standared and every1 calls that chavy so any1 with a saxo is a bit as i hear
in this case, led lights anywhere on the exterior look extremely chavvy in my opinion. -
#13There not illegal as such but rather:
If they flash there illegal.
If there red on the front there illegal.
If there any colour apart from red on the back there illegal.
If there visible to the driver whilst seated there illegal.
If they could be considered a distraction to other road users there illegal.
There are more reasons whey they could be illegal but I cant recall them off hand but the long and the short of it is if the police don't like it odds are they will be illegal. -
#14sorry paul, i had to look twice at your avatar, i though for a minute you had shaved your hair lol its really just patrick stewart lolQuote:

#15there most probably illegal and there definatly CHAV!
-
#16Spot on description. lolQuote:

#17illegal as far as i know, but chavvy as fook
-
#18defo think there illegal
-
#19100% illegal, my mate had some about 8 years ago and got pulled over and had to take them off
anything other than white is classed as illegal, as your impersonating an emergency vehicle, obviously theres orange indicators but with them flashing all the time it will look like youve broke down
white washer jets might be legal but still they will state on the box/packaging there for show use only, which means having a switch fitted and used on private property -
#20screw getting fined the worst thing that can happen with putting blue lights on your car happed to some guy with neons. he got prosecuted for impersonating a police officer. now that aint good!!

#24While on the subject, Is it or isn't it illegal to drive with front fog lights on??
I'm sure it is illegal to have the rear on. -
#25LOL you really should know this one if you have passed a driving test. It's illegal to use them unless in server conditions that reduce vision to a point you can not see another car 100m away. Even then its still illegal to use them if in the circumstance they provide undue glare to other road users. Even though you could go to courts and be issued points, banned, have a unlimited fine or even do time for it generally it's dealt with a simple on the spot fine. This is for front and or rear.
-
#26Cheers, thought it was but I've seen so many people with them on and was unsure about them (front)
-
#27dont do it its chav tastic lol
-
#28yea they look cheap but it up to you mate what you pesonally want on your car
i would ditch them tho. -
#29fog lights are usually a £30 on the spot fine but most coppers are decent and just tell you to turn them off, but i dont get that problem as ive removed mine
lol ive got a set of blue LED washer jets free in a magazine years ago before i could even drive and im glad to say they have never left the package lol
