Westie to VTR

    What would i need to fit a VTR engine in my westcoast , i.e will it fit in and what would i need to change with it ? eg gearbox , ecu . never done it before but i have 2 cars . one is a VTR but as body damage, and the other is a Westcoast with engine damage . wanna try and make one good car outta them both , all help appreciated .

    hi mate ive literally just done this myself, u will need to change the engine bay loom as the main ecu plug is slightly different (dont worry you wont have to fiddle with the interior loom, just a straight plug in and play) , u will need to also change the ecu (get it unlocked) unless you got the immobiliser box to plug into your westcoast off of the vtr...

    i would also change the rear drums to the discs off the vtr not a nessasry mod but might as well as you got them there

    you dont need to change rear drums. Drums are perfectly fine to use on a fast road 16v engine. Get some nice brakes on up front though

    Thought about changing them but was told id have too change all the brake line too and really cant be bothered pissing about like that.

    If the vtr is running you can unlock the ecu, cant remeber how to do it but have a search
