VTR/VTS alloys on a 1.1?

    In the owners hand book it says

    "Beware: The fitting of 185/55r14 and 195/45r15 wheels is exclusive to these models. They must in no circumstances be fitted to any other model"

    Why does it say that?
    I know alot of people who have VTR/VTS alloys on 1.1 models
