air sucked through throttle body is heated from engine, but that can happen only if u have some rubbish induction kit.For example simota/raceland induction is hot when u stop the car,but when you driving i have doubts that air has more degress in compare to stock airbox. And i think airflow is pretty higher than in stock one.

thanks mate, on my older saxo, i had a problem when the throttle was put all the way down it would go but it wouldnt go that well if you got me, if the accelerator was put like 3/4 way down it was much much quicker, was that heat soak?

Worded a little confusingly imo mate

A open induction kit, will take the air in from around the engine bay which is hot because of the engine and other parts such as the exhaust manifold. Sucking hot air in is bad as it is less dense so contains less oxygen so decreases performance.

yes i wrote it confusingly, but i couldn´t edit my post.My english isn´t perfect sorry for that...

JonCarter:No.Heat soak causes slight decrease in performance all way around and it has nothing to do with position of thottle body(gas pedal)
