my smiley grille.... to be, or not to be? that is the question

    basically should i keep my grille or put black mesh behind
    with grille

    without grille

    like the grill smily looks awsome wish it was that easy on a mk11.

    ive thought that before! lol i saw red nova coming down the road till i realised it was a mk1 flat arch lol only problem with your idea is that unlike mk2's the chevrons on the mk1 are attached tot he black part of the grille i dont think anyone has ever done it before, i was going to cut the chevrons out and smooth it so theres one bar goin across the grille like a lot of euro boys do but i cant be arsed with the hassle tbh

    leave it as it is, maybe just de chevron it and have one continuous slat

    yea that has always been my intention, like i said i can't be arsed with the hassle after the fiasco of me trying to smooth my front bumper down i wanna steer clear of me using filler or fiberglass lol thats why the car is going to bodyshop on tuesday to get the rest of the smoothing/spraying done lol

    I do like the mesh but if it was meshed i think it would look as if there is something missing, also i want to steer clear of the "chav" saxo look

    thats really good mate, i love it lol it would definitely go gloss black all the black bits on my car are being painted gloss black cant wait to get it back from the body shop

    ive donje my mk2 one wasnt exactly quick to do but well worth it mate, should be ten times easier on a mk1 though, just holla if you need any tips

    cheers i should be alright i think ill get a doner grille and cut a bit of the slat out and fix that in to where the chevrons are/were

    yea looks good like that. how you do that pic preditor?photoshop? it good that.
    my mk11 grill just messed up on me gonna just buy a dimmer one and have done with it i drilled all the plastic rivets out and cannot put back together?can any one help on this ?

    Just paint the chevrons black... From a distance it'll look like the smiley grill too lol.

    photoshop yes

    can you still join the grill together for to fix it in place with something like araldite

    thats what i used to get my mk2 grill back together, get the fast drying one though
