Fan Blower / wiring problem

  1. #1
    Hi,

Ever since i was messing around trying to fit a new rear heater switch in my car, about 2 days later i started up my car...put the demister on and after a minute the fans stopped working, whilst im driving i can still feel heat coming from the vents it just wont blow out, ( Having to drive on the M25 with the windows down to stop the windscreen misting up in this weather aint too nice )
    Also
the lighter socket when i had my sat nav in it, it would sometimes charge then it would stop and now the sockets stopped working completely.
    Also
    My horn has stopped working

these all seemed to take place around the same time so im quessing it may be that ive knocked some wiring about...?

Any ideas on how to solve?
or any ideas on a price a garage would charge
    Thanks,
    Sam.

The horn and cigarette lighter are on the same circuit. Checked the fuse isnt blown? Did you disconnect the battery while doing electrical work? Its a 20a fuse iirc.

ahh right, nope fuses are all fine, checked them all as soon as it happened, nah all i done was put my hand under the dash to hold the rear heater socket in place so the switch would click in.
