Lowering

    Hey guys.

I really want to get my mk2 vtr lowered by 50mm. The things is, I am a bit tight on money and I was wondering if I got my car lowered just with apex -50mm and adjust the rear to match the front but keeping the standard shocks/dampers would it make handling, comfort worst? Or is it ok? I do plan to upgrade the standard dampers/shocks to either apex or spax in the future when I have a bit more money.

These are the springs I'm thinking of getting:

Are they any good? Or do you guys have a better recommendation?

    Appreciate the help guys. Cheers.

anything lower than 40mm on standard shocks is bad, as they will just bottom out all of the time you need to do the shocks again mate just get 40mm everyone says its the best for handling/looks

Cheers mate. So if I get a set of 40mm springs and adjust the rear to match I can keep the standard shocks and it wont affect handling or comfort?

No anything lower than standard on standard shocks is bad. Most people just buy springs and have done with it though. Krisb is offering £70 lowering service all round if you provide springs. just go on ebay and get some

That is 130+ miles away from me

Is there anyone in the south west that do it? I dont want to take it to a garage as most of them are dumb and cant even adjust torsion bars.

i'm not online for long. Been swapping 306 dutrbo gearbox and shoveled about 3 tonne of snow/compacted snow/ice off the carpark outside my flat.
