what is the normal tempature for the vtr

   once warmed, they sit just under the half way mark. And if everything's working alrite, they shouldn't go over half.
   
   Half way activates the fan, then it will drop back to below half.
   
   Have to drive mine very hard to get it over the half way line.
   
   So if yours is always high, head-gasket, or something in the cooling system is wrong

   Mine sits halfway most of the time,fan kicks in just above halfway. Hope that helps.

   yeah same for me just after halfway fan comes on. does anybodys fan stay on for like 15 seconds after switching engine off coz mine does?

   About halfway, but they differ and depends on how far / hard you have driven.
