Engine kind of rebuild problems!!

   Right. I snapped my timing belt last week. So I had a bit of money held back so I took it to a garage to get new one fitted. Compression test showed valve 2 was bent so that was changed. Oil rings where shagged so changed them aswell. So after a new Timing belt, Head Gasket full oil change I got the car back.
   
   It now is very very sluggish pulling away, and when putting my foot down. It has lost alot of its oomph!
   
   I have changed spark plugs and fuel filter was only changed a month ago. Any ideas what it could be?
   
   Could it be timed wrong?
   
   Do I have to let the engine "bed in"?
   
   Its a mk1 Auto VTR btw!

   I'd take it back to the garage, you've paid good money for the work so the car must be right.

   The mechanics at the garage said it will take time for the car to run as it used to? I thought it would be instantly better. Im going to clean the Idle valve later. Could this help?

   imo go back and slap them and tell them to stop talking s*it
