engine mount

    a have just discoverd that my ecu side engine mount has dropped. am i right in thinking these are oil filled? any 1 know the price ov these. btw its a mk1 vts

    Yeah theyre hydraulic mate, theyre quite expensive new because of that, but easy to get hold of second hand for silly money

    They are oil filled yes. I was getting quotes of £50-£70 from motor spares places. best to get it from Citroen so a few quid more maybe.

    do you know if vtr 1s fit mate. ive read that if you use the full mount it will fit. plus there are loads ov vtrs in scrap yards lol

    I did this on mine the other day. I had a mount which was taken off a late vtr. The iron mount itself had 3 holes in it, whereas my current vts one was held down with 4 bolts. So the mounting point itself is different. But the actual engine mount can be taken off the iron mount and is interchangeable onto the VTS mount. Hope that makes sense.

    Just make sure there is no movement in the shaft on the one you get.
    You can see the amount of play in the pic I took of my old one. Not good

    yeah i will do. i got a price off citroen yesterday and i nearly fell over. £94 plus vat lol

    Ouch. thats why its best to be friendly with someone down there. Staff discount isn't the best, but my friend (that drives a Ford) has got me loads of stuff!!

    yeah ad rather have any tipe of discount than none... did you find the job hard to do mate?

    well finally got round to doing this today. got the mount off a 1.4 flat arch supprised as i only thought the vt models had the same mounts. just thought ad pop a update on for any 1 who was interested
