Westcoast to vtr

    I have a 1.4 westcoast v reg, but the head gasket has gone, looking a putting a 1.6vtr engine in, dont want the hassel of changin the ecu, is there any way around this? and what exactly would i need in terms of parts??
    Any help would be appreciated

    Westie ecu is wrong for Vtr engine!

    Get head gasket fixed - will work out the cheaper option!

    stickies but if you can afford it.... and i cant bleive im saying this but stick a vts in because there will be v little diff between the 1.4 and the vtr, be a waste tbh

    not bothered about performance just want a working car, so need unlocked ecu from a vtr to work?

    yeah, but if your not bothered about performance you may aswell fix your car

    ^^ i agree - surely if you're just after a working car it's got to be a lot cheaper, quicker and easier to just get the head gasket done?
