Diagnostics question

    hi guys, ive got diagnostics software on my laptop, but when i plug my OBD lead into the car the light on the OBD flashes green and red and it stays on red, my ignition is on but laptop aint picking it up. im thinking its the wrong type of lead or the leads fucked.. anyone know about diagnostics???

    if your cars pre 2001 then it wont work

    Hi Tom, its a 98, why wont it work??? do you know what lead i need??

    cars before are not obd2 compatiable. You need a lexia cable setup but they are very very expensive and are not able to do the same things as obd2

    No worries. The cables are between £2-300 so really not cost effective buyng one

    by the way, i see the air sensor switch on top of the standard air box can unscrew, i noticed yesterday, so happy days, it just that hose from the bottom of the filter now??? normal breather filter would work wont it? or shall i make a thread into the green cotton cone and screw on a lug so the hose pushes onto it? What you think?
