hmmm how many looms are there for vts ?
  4. #4
You have a 106 gti loom?

    Pics say a thousand words
  5. #5
Its the plug on the looms, some are different buddy.....
  6. #6
    Its a 3 plug loom.

Raunchz you think i have a 106 gti loom????
  7. #7
Or do you mean that the plug fits, but some terminals don't match? Ie one is blank whereas the matching one has a wire?

Sorry thought it was a single plug - sounds like you've got the right loom

Yeah its a 3plug loom with 1 multi plug, from a 2002 reg vts and my furio is 2001 dont see why it is not right.

The car is running but i have no dials like speedo revs or temp had an auto electrician to have a look at it and he shown me that some of the pins are not going to anywhere on multiplug so isnt going threw from engine loom to interior loom so was wondering if anyone has had same problem.
  13. #13
    It's not a fuse?

I've done a 3plg Vts conversion from a 3plg furi. And it was literally plug and play.

The dials don't have an oil temp sensor but the engine loom caters for one, there's one of your gaps .......

i normaly swop the in car loom too on 1.1" and 1.4 for this problem.....so i end up with the full vts loom on the car.....

You not got any wires cut on the loom? Or plugs not plugged it (dash temp sensor)

On my 1.4 westcoast conversion I didn't have to touch the car loom and it akll worked fine

I've done one, S8TTG - and it was plug and play.

I'm off to bed, will have a gander tomorrow morning

No cut wires or anything had it all checked over its just the multi plug from engine loom to the interior multi plug pins dont all match up
  20. #20
So you think i will have to change the interior loom aswell
  21. #21
here's the link to the 2002 furio I/we converted with no problems at all !!

I don't understand why the dials won't work. Are there pins on the car loom that don't match up with anything on the engine loom? Or is it simply the other way round?
  22. #22
There are loads more wires/pins on the engine loom multi plug where as on the multi plug coming from the interior loom that it conects to there aint as many wires/pins and alot on the engine loom are going to nothing when connected so i have no dials or anything etc..
  23. #23
But do any from the car loom match upto blanks on the engine loom?
  24. #24
no not really like its the wrong way round
  25. #25
Did you ever find a cure for this?

I've done this the other way round 3-plug into single plug but not the way your doing it lol. I have the pin outs for the 3-plg vts (don't know if this will match VTR) and the pin outs for a 106 single plug which has almost identical wires to a single plug vts just in different connectors so maybe this will help you:

Single plug 106: (ignore the pin numbers as they will be different on a vts)

Pin / Function / Wire Colour / Wire No
1 Switch Live (to relay pin 14) white CC2
    2 Alternator - Battery Light Red 1070
3 Water Temp Sensor (Light - Pin 2) Green 400
    4 Starter motor Blue 100
5 Oil Pressure switch Yellow 410
    6 Reversing Switch - Pin 1 Grey CC07
    7 Reversing Switch - Pin 2 Orange 220
    8 Tacho / Rev Feed Green 426
    9
    10 Water Temp Sensor (Gauge - Pin 1) White / Beige 401
    11
12 Anti theft (ECU Pin 27) Yellow 820
13 Lambda Sensor Power Orange 123
    14 Speedo Green 465
15 Anti theft (ECU Pin 48) beige 821
    16 Diagnostic (ECU Pin 31) Red 140
    17 Diagnostic (ECU Pin 12) Yellow 141
18 ECU light / Diagnistic (ECU Pin 9) Beige 142
    19 Earth Green/Yellow MM00
    20
21 Anti theft (ECU Pin 13) Red 822
    22
23 Fuel Pump (From injector relay) White 120

    Grey Plug
Pin Function Wire Colour Wire No
    2 Oil Level (Pin 1) white 414
    3 Oil Level (Pin 2) Red 416
    4 Oil Temp (Pin 1) Yellow 411

And 3-plug vts (alot of my wire numbers were missing and somes things I didn't need so I never bothered to find out what they do lol)

    1 Switch Live Blue CM10E
    2 Reverse Switch Pin 1 Orange CH07A
3 Starter Motor Switch Blue 100
4 Oil Pressure Light Black N/A
5 Electronic Speedo Dark Green N/A

The main things like speedo and revs etc. should be the same but other than that the only way to do it will be to buzz test the sensors etc. with a multimeter.

    Hope this helps
